For your trip to be successful, it is important to plan ahead of time, and to know where you are heading and how to get there safely while enjoying a smooth travel experience. Check out these travel tips to get started on your adventure!

Tip #1: Always remember to carry a valid passport whenever you travel outside of your own country. It is the only proof of your nationality and identity that is accepted in all countries.

Tip #2: When people travel to the United States it is important and essential that you take your passport even if you are traveling onto another country, or taking a cruise in and out of ports of call.

Tip #3:Unlike a driver’s licence or birth certificate, a passport can be replaced if it is lost, damaged, destroyed, stolen or inaccessible on your trip.

Tip #4: Try to apply for a passport during off-season, between July and November.

Tip #5: A passport will usually be required for any legal or financial transactions.

Tip #6: Remember to sign your passport on page 3, and fill in your current address and the name of a person to contact in case of emergency on page 4.

Tip #7: Ensure that you are carrying a valid passport. Check that the expiry date of the passport is well beyond your return date.

Tip #8: Make two photocopies of the identification page of the passport.
